Samsung to sell a million Galaxy Note II's in Korea

Smart device market-leader Samsung has sold a million Galaxy Note II phablets in its home market South Korea just 92 days after launch. The company  announced last month that it has sold over 5 million Galaxy Note II units worldwide and, if the trend continues, the device will possibly hit a ten million sales high by early 2013.

The latest milestone provides even more prof that consumers have become increasingly accustomed to  phablets. In just little over a year, Samsung phablets, especially the Galaxy Note, made quite an impact on smartphone- and tablet design, beating Apple in innovation as they left their mark on the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini. Other Samsung smartphones have done extremely well: the Galaxy S3 overtook the iPhone 4S as the world’s best selling phone in the3rd quarter of 2012 and gained an 11% share of all smartphones sold worldwide. In between the still ongoing patent wars with Apple, it looks like the two rivals are heading towards an real epic showdown in 2013. One side is armed with conductive styluses and the other has sapphire crystals.
